We are seeking a Floating Support worker to provide a responsive service to Mental Health and Learning Disability service users living in the community; building positive relationships and delivering a high quality support service to ensure individual needs are met. Working with service users to ensure that they acquire the skills to live independently and maintain their tenancy. This is a Floating Support service.

It is essential for the individual to have substantial relevant experience of working in a support role (voluntary experience will be considered favourably) and demonstrable experience of working with people with Mental Health and Learning Disability. The individual should have an understanding of the difficulties faced by vulnerable people with support needs and how those needs can be met along with knowledge and understanding of the community care framework, the role of statutory authorities and good practise in housing with support and of the welfare benefits system.

The individual should also have the ability to provide a satisfactory CRB certificate.
